Start The Conversation

As early as possible. For construction projects specifically, we recommend reaching out at least nine months before you plan to start construction. It takes time to develop a cohesive design, and our firm is often booked well in advance. Plus, the more planning you do before that first hammer swings, the smoother the construction process will be.
We partner with your builder throughout the project, answering questions, reviewing shop drawings, and conducting site visits to make sure everything is executed exactly as designed. If you are still looking for the right builder/contractor, we are happy to connect you with some of the excellent teams we’ve worked with in the past.
Here’s the hard truth: any estimate done without a complete floor plan, interior drawings and interior selections is back-of-the-envelope math, at best. A builder can’t give an accurate estimate until they know exactly what they’re building.
Over the past 6 years, we’ve seen a significant increase in both construction and furnishing costs. So the short answer is: probably more than you expect. Having expert designers at your side is key to educating you and helping you manage your project budget wisely.
To create the level of detail and performance we're known for, we typically furnish rooms as a whole rather than designing around existing pieces. That said, if there’s a piece you really love, let’s talk about it. While it may not work in the room we’re designing, we may be able to find the perfect spot for it elsewhere in your home. We’re also always happy to incorporate pieces with significant sentimental value.
Good news! Having a beautiful home and having kids (of the fur, human, or husband variety) is not mutually exclusive. We are experts in selecting durable finishes that stand up to everyday life. And, with 7 kids and 7 dogs between us, we practice what we preach!
