full renovation

Shorewood

We touched nearly every surface of this mid-90s, Coppell tract home.  One of our favorite practical improvements was stealing 16” from the garage to turn a barely functional utility room into a much-needed combination mudroom/laundry room – with individual coat and shoe storage for every family member.  Natural light was a priority in the kitchen and we were able to include lots of windows by using a ceiling vent hood above the range.  For the addition, we added over 800 square feet of space to the home – with very little change to the facade.  This home was featured in DHome and is one of our favorite projects to date

Timberline

These clients didn’t love the heavy wood work and wrought iron of their new suburban home. Through an extensive renovation, we brought their home into this decade. One of our favorite elements was the addition of an enormous custom bookshelf with a library ladder. Not only did this highlight their tall ceilings, but it also provided a place for them to display items they’d collected on their travels. In a home with kids and pets, durable finishes were a must. We included sofas in a bleach-cleanable (we’ve tried it!) Inside-Out fabric and an easy-to-clean wool rug.

Stanford

This young family in University Park had a sophisticated, transitional style and a love of saturated color, but were struggling to implement this in their home.  In addition to furnishings, we painted their front room, added antique mirror to an arched niche in their hallway, and designed a new soapstone fireplace surround.  Our favorite piece from this project is the custom pen-and-ink drawing of their family dog that we included in their entryway gallery wall.

new construction

Prestonshire

A ground-up, new build in Preston Hollow.  We worked with the family every step of the way: reviewing plans, selecting finishes, and fully furnishing the home.  Sourcing and framing vintage bathing suits for the “cabana” room was definitely a highlight of this project, as well as the “secret door” hidden in the home office bookcase.

Lively

This was a ground-up build and a full-furnish project.  This home was designed to accommodate a multi-generational family and we loved being able to mix their different styles.  The art above the breakfast table was painted by a family member and well-known artist.  Twin vintage runners for their long entryway hall were a winning find, alongside the bench we custom designed as the perfect place to sit and put on shoes.

Clover

A furnishing project for a bachelor who had bought a new home in Dallas.  His style leaned masculine and mid-century – and his favorite colors were red, orange and green.  This was a fun departure for us and we enjoyed leaning into his style.

home finishing

Hockaday

Our long-time clients purchased a builder’s spec home in the final stages of the build.  We stepped in and assisted with final selections, furniture, and personalizing the home’s finishes to meet their needs.  One of our favorite touches was adding a bar to the home office, which included custom brass and glass bar shelving that we designed and had built.  Another favorite moment is the gallery wall of framed, signed menus from the family’s favorite meals over the years.
