Our first date. We’ll give you design advice, define your project’s scope, and answer any questions you have about working with us.
TIME BETWEEN STEPS: 1 WEEK
Based on the information we gathered at the consultation, we’ll develop a comprehensive budget and review it with you during a brief Zoom meeting.
Once you’ve approved our budget proposal, we’ll send over our contract, retainer invoice, and schedule your project kick-off meeting. You’re officially a client!
The “define-your-dream” meeting. We’ll curate inspiration images especially for you, review your Pinterest boards, and discuss your goals for the space.
TIME BETWEEN STEPS: 4-6 WEEKS
You’ll see it all: fabrics, paint samples, mood boards, mock-ups, metal finishes – and tons and tons of images. We’ll dig deep into the why and what of our selections, and follow-up quickly with any desired revisions.
TIME BETWEEN STEPS: 2 WEEKS
Once the furniture proposal has been approved and paid, we place all the orders and solve any issues that arise as items arrive.
TIME BETWEEN STEPS: 10+ WEEKS
The best day ever. We lay rugs, place furniture, hang art, style shelves and leave you with a beautifully completed space.

A common misconception is that designers can swing by one showroom and have your living room fully designed in an afternoon. Unfortunately, our work is just that – work. It takes us time to develop a well-considered and cohesive design. As a result, our typical design time is 4-6 weeks, depending on the size of your project. Once you’ve approved our design, furniture procurement takes 3+ months from placing the order to installation.
We work collaboratively with our clients, providing regular updates and seeking your input throughout the project. Your involvement level is entirely up to you!
Absolutely. We won’t start a project without agreeing on a budget in advance with our client. While every project is unique, fully furnishing a space costs about $125 sq/ft.
We want your home to be just that – your home. With that in mind, we dig deep at the start of your project with a Project Kick-off Meeting. We ask questions and listen hard to your answers, because your answers tell us who you are, and what you care about. We also review inspiration images, yours and ours, to determine what you do and (more importantly) don’t like.
Absolutely not. This is your home and we want you to love it. While we may try and get you to step out of your comfort zone (that’s our job!), we’ll never require it. Plus - your approval is required for every major purchase we make on your behalf.
Over the years we’ve learned that we need to do at least three rooms in order to have an impact on the look and feel of a home. As a result, we have a three room minimum for furnishing projects.
We typically get called in because the current furniture or layout of the room isn’t working. While we will absolutely keep antiques and items of sentimental value, we prefer to start from scratch in order to achieve a result you’ll be happy with.
